He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Ann Motyl; his parents, Thaddeus Motyl, Sr. and Genevieve Motyl; and his brothers, Ted, Robert and Christopher Motyl.
He is survived by: his children, Lauren Dargis (Michael) and Timothy P. Motyl (Rachel); his granddaughters, Abigail Paige and Samantha Rose; and his siblings, Lois Uhleman, Tammy Gebbia, Richard, Joseph Motyl and John Ace. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
