He was predeceased by: his parents, Fitalmo Fava and Marietta Fava; and his son Paul Fava. He is survived by: his spouse Elcy Fava (Espitia); his children, Rocco Fava, Jr. (Ida) and Helman Fava (Eva); his grandchildren, Rocky J. Fava, Damian Fava and Valentina M. Fava; his sibling Massimo Fava (Flo); his niece Joanne; his nephew Danny Fava; and his friend Annette Conti.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
