He is survived by: his grandsons, Reverend John Hugh Tate and Pastor Joshua; his spouses, Doris Marie Bell and Frances; his grandchildren, Toby Hill, Tyler Hill (Andi Beth), Tony Hill (Shauna), Joni Melson, Anna Claire Melson Robinson (Kevin), Joshua Tate (Allison), Caroline Stroud and Anna Frances Stroud; and also, Terry Vaughn Hill (Tammie), Sara Marie Hill Melson (Rick), Diane Stroud Tate (Hugh) and John Busby Stroud (Billye Jean).
