He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Zalinkanskas and Beatrice Zalinkanskas. He is survived by: his wife Katharine; his siblings, Edward and Susan Kucharski; his nephew Eric Zalinkanskas; and his nieces, Helene McMurray, Kari Francione and Faith Holmes. He is also survived by grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's name can be made to the Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Association or the American Legion Department of NJ.
