He is survived by: his children, James Gallagher (Jacqueline), Vincent Gallagher (Anne), Patrick Gallagher (Megan), Maureen Schmidt (Paul), Kathleen Biello-Peters (Philip), Thomas Gallagher (Nancy), Geralyn Vadell and Mary Lyons (Kenneth). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
