He is survived by : his wife Barbara Maak (Mack); his sons, James and George Maak; his mother Christina Rizzio; his brothers, Vincent of Bayonne, Kenneth of Bayonne and Douglas Maak of Bayonne; his mother-in-law Joann Mack; his brother-in-law Andrew Mack; and his nephews, Anthony and Daniel Maak.

Memorial donations towards his children's college expenses will be accepted by his family.
