He was predeceased by: his parents, Egbert and Margaret. He is survived by: his close friend Janet Meyer; his wife Janet; his daughters, Jan Schmitzer (Joe) and Carla Stephens (Chuck); his grandchildren, Matthew Shoemaker, Ariel Schmitzer, Evan Schmitzer (Kassi), Craig Stephens and Curt Stephens; and his nieces and nephews, Brad, Tim Vath, Billy, Helena Meyer, Paul, Sarah, Eric Swider, Dylan and Rachel Meyer.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to any of the following charities: your Local SPCA, the Humane Society, the Wounded Warrior Project, or your local PBA in his name.
