He was predeceased by: his wife Nona; his son Daniel Runo; and his brothers, Bill, Joe, Larry and Phil.

He is survived by: his children, Patrick, Henry, Nick, Chris Runo and Mary Lance; and his sister Florence Runo. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

“I cannot truly the express the sorrow I felt upon reading of the passing of Hank. Back in the day, at Pope Pius Xll High School, Hank and I (Vinnie Esposito) were part of a close nit group of guys that included Wolfgang Samay,Jack Domonkos , Dan Mulville and John Gurdak.. We used to make fun of Hank for his love of Country Music especially "Hank Williams ". Who knew? He and I were the last two standing. May He Rest In Peace. Vinnie Esposito Class'56”
