He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lancaster; and his children, Rebecca Chandler (Joel), Roland Batchelder Jr., Charles Batchelder (Julie), Barbie Dow (Peter), John Batchelder (Jennifer) and Brendon Batchelder (Kristin). He is also survived by son, 20 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
