He was predeceased by: his son David Scales; and his brother Robert Scales. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Frank Scales, Jr. (Delia) and Cynthia Kessler (Joseph); his daughter-in-law Carol Scales; and his brother Stephen Scales. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
