With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Chessman of Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, who passed away on November 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph; her parents, John Denhman and Margaret Denhman; and her sisters, Margaret "Eleanor" Oziminski and Mildred Rabar.
She is survived by: her son Jason H. Chessman (Julie N. Sanders); her grandson Joseph H. Chessman; her significant other Thomas "Tom" Kendall; her stepchildren, Thomas Matthew Kendall and Jennifer Rose Kendall; her niece Tammy Diodati (Anthony); her great-nieces, Krista, Kaila and Kasey; her nephew Jack Chessman (Bernadette); Liberty Beth Holly Kendall. She is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home (34 Hunter St, Woodbury, NJ 08096). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Eglington Cemetery.
