She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Chute; her parents, Andrew George and Altana Gilfillan Jr.; her sisters, Beverly Ann Austin and Nancy Lee; and her sister-in-law Doris Gilfillan.
She is survived by: her pet Tammee Su Lu Lu; her brother Andrew G. Gilfillan III of Williamsburg, VA; her sibling's children, Drew Gilfillan (Jennifer), Stacey Pietruszynski (Steve), Scotti Wilson (James), Paula and Brantley (Lee); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kelly, GiGi, Spencer, Carson, Andrew (Sarah Grace), Austin (Emmy), John, Calvin, Wyatt and Connor; her friends, Tony Kustra and Emma Moulton; her adoptive daughter Heather; her grandchildren, McKenna and Grant; Charlie.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Davis & Wagner Funeral & Cremation Services (171 Delaware St, Woodbury, NJ 08096). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
