He was predeceased by: his wife Antigone. He is survived by: his children, Kaliope Zafirelis (Angelos), Kleanthis Phili (Kleopatra) and Marios Phili (Maria); his grandchildren, John-Michael, Demetris (Yulia), Nikos (Alina), Stelios (Rose), Antigone, Alexis and Demitri; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Zoe and Liana.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor, to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
