We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025, at the age of 82, Marie Margarita Nieto (Albuquerque, New Mexico), born in Puerta de Luna, New Mexico passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Nieto Sr.; her parents, Juan Gallegos and Juanita Gallegos; and her siblings, Manuelito Gallegos, Peter Gallegos, Johnny Gallegos Jr., Ricky Gallegos and Grace Lopez.
She is survived by: her son Peter Nieto Jr. (Erica); her grandchildren, Kayla Gomez (Anthony), Jesse Nieto, Shawn Nieto (Kim) and Randy Nieto; her great grandchildren, Xzavier, Kael, Logan and Zayne Gomez; her siblings, Toni Bazan, Dolly Martinez, Helen Gallegos, Raymond Gallegos (Julia), Loretta Montoya (Mike) and Chano Gallegos (Lupe); and her sister-in-law Juanita Lovato.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garcia Mortuary (717 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the San Ysidro Catholic Church (5015 Corrales Rd, Corrales, NM 87048). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
