She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Madrid and Aurora C Madrid; her husband Ismael Ortega Sr; her daughter Yvette Ortega; and her daughter-in-law Cheri Ortega.

She is survived by: her sons, Ismael Ortega Jr. and Kim Ortega; her grandchildren, Justin Blake, Brandon, Dylan and Kaylee; and her siblings, Elisa Jaquez, Emma Tellez, Mary Helen Pena, John L. Madrid and Oscar G. Madrid. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
