She was predeceased by : her husband Joe A. Ortiz. She is survived by : her children, Virginia Velasquez, Veronica Summers (Ken), Viola Gonzales (Fermin), Samson Ortiz (Barbara), Gregory Ortiz (Rose), Richard Ortiz (Valerie), Fabian Ortiz (Maggie), Martin Ortiz (Beverly), Valery Ortiz-Baca (Martin), David Ortiz (Patsy), Vivian Henderson (Jeff) and Mario Ortiz (Sheila); and her siblings, Lydia Barela, Jose Leon Castillo Jr. (Carol) and Louie Castillo (Pam). She is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
