He was predeceased by : his brother Herbert. He is survived by : his wife Jean; his children, Cody and Nikki; his grandchildren, Starr (Patrick), Luke, Joedon, Carson and Jayden; his great grandchildren, Connor and Chase; and his brother Noel Lee (Tinker).

In lieu of flowers Don and Jean would like for contributions to be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
