He was predeceased by : his mother Dorothy Lee Merritt of Texas; his nephew Tyrone Carter Sr.; and his niece Cynthia Carter. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Harris; his children, Lee Harris and Udonaa Harris; and his sister Dorothy Louise Perry. He is also survived by four nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
