He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shepperd and Ima Shepperd (Vaughn); his siblings, Francis Smith (Fred), Kenneth "Buster" Shepperd, J. C. "Jake" Shepperd (Curtis), Billy Don Shepperd (Connie) and Clinton Shepperd; his stepson Clay Mitchell; and his granddaughter Ashly Rowland.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Shepperd; his children, Linda Shepperd, Gary Shepperd (Barbara), Debra Orechwa (Wayne), Cenny Flores (Porfirio), Robert Shepperd (Jamie) and Alyson Tuman (Kevin); his stepchildren, Jack Mitchell and Sydnie Eskew (Jim); his grandchildren, Crystal Rowland, Erin Shepperd (Meagan Manseau), Andrew Shepperd, Brian Randich, Brett Randich, Shane Shepperd (Leslie), Shawna Hillebrand (Lucas), Chandler Flores and Parker Staley; and his great grandchildren, Billy Shepperd, Shyan Shepperd, Saige Shepperd, Kason Shepperd, Joseph Shepperd and William Shepperd.
