With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lillie Faye Scoggins of Carlsbad, New Mexico, born in Durant, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2024 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by : her parents, Clyde Eugene Snider and Lillie Mae Snider (Howie); her husbands, Billy R. Smith, Rusty Carr and Doug Scoggins; and her son Darrel Smith.

She is survived by : her daughter Debbie Burt (James) of Carlsbad, NM; and her grandchildren, Jimaye McKnight, James Burt (Courtney), Billy Ray Smith (Lindsey) and Darrel Ray Smith (Lauren). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
