He was predeceased by : his wife Nora Berlier Beckner; and his siblings, Ben, Arthur "Ock", Ken, George, Etta Mae and Annie.

He is survived by : his children, Wilma Black of Pflugerville, Howard Beckner of Amarillo and Norman Beckner of Round Rock, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Kelly Shaw (Tommy), Sterling Beckner (Robbie), Stephanie Sanders (Duke), Shelley Rector (Jerry) and Vance Black.
