He is survived by : his wife Shirley L. Payne; his son Jimmy G. Payne; his stepson Doug Roberts (Deborah) of Deming; his daughter Dianna Mayfield of Deming; and his stepdaughters, Joy Batts of Hobbs and Sandy Shiflett (Gary) of Deming. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
