It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ofelia Salazar of Silver City, New Mexico, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ofelia Salazar to pay them a last tribute.
Though Ofelia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ofelia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arturo Trujillo and Consuelo Salazar; and her daughter Lorraine "Lulu" Salazar.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (340 Mayo St, Bayard, NM 88023). A rosary will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
