He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilia Lovato (Sanchez) and Alberto Lovato; his siblings, Nelson Lovato and Elisa Salazar (William); his siblings' children, Jose Lovato and Nellie Lovato; and his great-nephew Gabriel Salazar.
He is survived by: his siblings, Alberto Lovato and Vidalita Lovato; his children, Daniel M. Lovato, Porfirio Lovato, Fernando Lovato (Darlene) and Marlene Lovato; his former wife Kathy Lovato; and his grandchildren, Ashlee Lopez (Joseph), Celayell Evans-Lovato, Breanna Lovato, Melanie Lovato, Lorenzo Trujillo and Dominic Lovato. He is also survived by many close friends and relatives.
