He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Zimmerman and Leila Zimmerman of Escondido, CA.; his child Mattie; his former wife Wilma; his sister John Mason (Carolyn); and his granddaughter Helen.

He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Mason of Farmington, Robert (June) of Maryland and William (Linda) of Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Toys for Tots.
