He was predeceased by: his grandson Ryder Nelson; and his parents, Leslee Nelson and Lucy "Padilla" Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Bob Ryder Nelson of Albuquerque and Roseanna Nelson of Milan; his brother Gilbert Romero; and his grandchildren, Ryan Nelson, Destiny Nelson, Esteban Nelson and Azaiah Nelson.
