He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecilio Muniz and Guadalupe Muniz; his children, Michael Anthony Muniz, Tommy Muniz and Nancy Muniz; his grandchildren, Johnny Lucero and Monica Zamora; his sisters, Rafaelita Muniz and Oralia Barrientes; his brother-in-law Johnny Jo Barrientes; his brother Deciderio Muniz; and his sister-in-law Eloisa Muniz.
He is survived by : his wife Alice Muniz; and his children, Jane Muniz (Marvin Archuleta), Diane Muniz, Cecil Muniz Susie (Valerie Muniz) and Gloria Lucero (Albert Lucero). He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren which he helped raise, 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great granddaughter.
