He is survived by : his parent Maria Garcia; his children, Gloria Vargas of Lordsburg, NM and Jimmy Vargas (Jenny); his siblings, Marcelo Vargas, Jr. (Rosa), Jennie Reinhardt and Eddie Vargas (Christina); and his grandchildren, Saul Ortega, Jr. (Sonya), Jimmy Vargas, Jr. (Melissa), Angie Guerrero (Ricky), Mario Vargas, Alyssa Mendez (Carlos), David Graves (Melissa) and Clarissa Quihuis.
