It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Chavez (Lordsburg, New Mexico), who passed away on February 29, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his mother Mary Chavez (Sepulveda); his brother Benjie; and his son Gabriel Chavez. He is survived by : his father Benjamin P. Chavez of Silver City; his wife Belinda C. Chavez of Lordsburg; his children, Mary Frances Chavez of Lordsburg, Edward Chavez Jr. (Tisha) of Lordsburg, Benjamin Chavez (Leigh Ann) of Lordsburg and Armando Chavez (Christina) of Lordsburg; his siblings, Ruben Chavez (Yoli) of Safford, AZ, David Chavez (Margaret), Fernando Chavez (Patsy) of Lordsburg, Lucinda Chavez and Martha Chavez of Lordsburg; and his grandsons, Hailio, Isaiah, Caius, Jacoby, Jesse Rey and Cylis. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
