She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Dawdy and Ina Dawdy; her former life partner Roy Perkins; her grandson Mark Mead; her great grandchild Matthew Rains; her brothers, Hubert Dawdy, Hayword Dawdy and Lyndel Dawdy; and her son-in-law Lanny Mead.

She is survived by : her husband Joseph Bright; her children, Eldon Perkins (Beth) of Hattiesburg, Rodney Perkins (Marietta) of Clovis, Sue Mead of Alamogordo, NM and Ricky Perkins (Becky) of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Paige Perkins, Jana Perry, Melissa Perkins, Richard Perkins (Paula), Laura Larson (Dale), Heather Robbe (Jimmy) and Ty Perkins (Heather); her great grandchildren, Cameron, Stetson, Halie, Ryan, Duncan, Donnie and Rebecca; her sisters, Bil Schmidt (Richard) and Ineta Karttunen; her stepdaughters, Catherine Shelton of Carlsbad, NM and Janet Hankins (George) of Cleveland Heights; her stepgrandchildren, Dana Lester (Eric), Vicki Shelton, Jessi Berger (John) and Jenni Hankins; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Taryn, Aidan, Lauren and Gavin.
