She was predeceased by: her son James Varela; her parents-in-law, Ricardo and Celia Varela (Quintana); her brothers, Fermin Jr., Eloy and Orlando Valencia; and her siblings-in-law, Roy Varela, Celina Baca and Agnes Valencia.
She is survived by: her husband Wilfred Varela Sr.; her children, Brenda Archuleta (Jamie) and Wilfred Varela Jr.; her grandchildren, Elijah Varela, Jeremiah Varela, Maria Archuleta, Andres Archuleta, James Varela and Allysha Varela; her great grandchildren, Brandon and Jordynn; her siblings, Bernie Valencia (Viola), George Valencia (Mary Jane), Clara López (David), Minnie Rivera (Fidel), Gary Valencia (Rosalie) and Martha Flores (Michael); and her mothers-in-law, Gloria Towers (Jack), Roxanne Varela and Diana Montoya (Abel). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
