He is survived by: his sisters, Esmenia Cordova and Carmen Ornelas; his parents-in-law, Gregorio and Maria Garcia; his daughter-in-law Louise Ortiz; his siblings-in-law, Lala Ortiz, Frank Cordova and Carlos Garcia; his wife Cecilia Garcia Ortiz; his children, Jerry, David, Martin, Jenny and Maria; his sisters, Celina Roybal (Noberto) and Theresa Hendren Arsenio (Victor); his nephew Jody Ortiz; and his close friends, Jerry Gonzales, Charlie Sena and Tony Roybal. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
