He is survived by : his children, Judy D. Rogers (Charles) of Maxwell, NM and John M. Payton (Brad Tibbetts) of Brownfield, TX.; his daughter-in-law Linda Payton of Raton, NM.; his sister-in-law Carol Orthman of Amarillo, TX.; and his grandchildren, Kayla Payton of Raton and Garrett Hill of Maxwell.
