He was predeceased by: his wife Marylou Maestas; his parents, Simon Maestas, and Placida Maestas, Sr.; and his brothers, Joe Maestas and Johnny Maestas.
He is survived by: his daughter Natalie Maestas; his stepchildren, Shane Sena (Monique), Joey Sena (Georgette) and Brenda Sena; and his grandchildren, Angel DeHerrera (Siera), Destiny McAlear (George), Jericka Sanchez (Jorge) and Benisha Sanchez.
A rosary was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
