She was predeceased by: her parents, John Applegarth and Ruby Applegarth (Boston); her husband John Karl Hughs; and her siblings, Ray, Bill, Earnest, Walter, Elmer Applegarth, Grace Haak, Mildred Fogle and Edith Love.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Stein (Paul) of Granbury, TX, Carol Hamel (Mac) of Plainview, TX, David Hughs of Roswe11, NM and Richard Hughs (Jennifer) of Buffalo, NY; and her siblings, Dorothy Kerschner (Don), Arva Wenger (Herb), Della Goldsberry (Steve), Wilma Thompson (Bob) and Fred Applegarth (Marilyn). She is also survived by four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
