He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Sr. Lentz and Oleta Lentz (Jo); and his brother Everett Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lentz; his stepchildren, Ray Lager, Lori Lager Mondragon, Betty Lou Hunt and Colleen Kraft; and his siblings, Lewis Lentz (Karyn) and Loretta Eddy. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
