He was predeceased by: his father Roberto Garza; his grandfather Daniel Tavarez; his aunts, Maria Kirkindal (James) and Angie Ramirez; his cousin John Bugarin; and his close friend Joe Moreno.
He is survived by: his mother Rosalinda Tavarez; his daughter Ixchell Garza; his grandmother Isabel Tavarez; his siblings, Erica Castrillo (Lalo), Amanda Vargas (Mariano), Selena Tavarez-Prudencio, Roberta Garza, Javi Garza and April Holmquist; his siblings' children, Anthony, Matthew, Zoe Castrillo, Anika Tavarez-Vargas, Leigha Tavarez-Vargas, Marisa Vargas, Damaris Tavarez and Aaron Prudencio; his cousins, Monique Moreno (Matthew), Maxine Rubio (Andres), Briana Rubio, Xavier, Sotero, Gwen, Layla, Ethan Garza, Trinity, Phillip Crane, Petra, Ramses Holmquist, Maxton, Miles Moreno, Cameron Vasquez and Eric Sedillo; his godmother Gloria Sandoval Rodriguez; and also, Veronica Garcia, Monica Alonso, Hector R Alonso, Cristal Gomez and Edward Alonso.
In lieu of flowers, a trust account has been ser up for Roony's daughter, Ixchell, at Otero Federal Credit Union.
