He is survived by: his children, Claudia Zapata of Roswell, Mireya Zapata Roswell and Mario (Clarissa Zapata) of Texas; his siblings, Rafaela Zapata, Alma Zapata and Raul Zapata of Roswell; his grandchildren, Raquel Mondragon, Zamiera Zapata, Mercedes Velasco, Myela Velasco, Azalyn Zapata, Dioselyn Zapata, Mattangelo Velasco, Giovanni McCall, Azariah Zapata, Mario Zapata Jr. and Amoriah Zapata; and his great grandchild Leila Luna.
