She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Van Laar and Adeline Thackeray; her siblings, Larry Van Laar and Shirley Williams; and her grandson Cole Gohres.
She is survived by: her brother Larry Allen; her husband Louie Hoekstra; her siblings, Elvis and Jean Hammett; her children, David Hoekstra (Sheri), Darla Breedyk (Arie), Doree Figueroa (Tim) and Daylene Gohres; and her grandchildren, Ryan Breedyk (Morgan), Kristen Kamper (Larry), Aaron Breedyk (Rachel), Cherise Rainwater (Brady), Candise Crow (BJ), Justin Breedyk (Shiloh), Cory Figueroa (Breanne), Katelyn Krakauskas (Mitch), Arielle Breedyk, Courtney Gohres and Chase Gohres.
