He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis E. Maples and Mildred Couch Maples. He is survived by: his wife Guyla Cozort Maples; his children, Paul Maples (Maria), Nancy Cordova (Dennis), Martha Davis (Matthew), Jeremy Compton (Sarah), Matthew Compton of Denver and Elizabeth Weeaks (Justin); his sisters, Margaret Jones, Barbara Maples of Atlanta, GA and Sarita Maples of Ft Worth, TX; and his former spouse Mary Cole Maples.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of his name to the Salvation Army, Roswell, NM or Gideon's International.
