She was predeceased by: her parent Maria Elena Chico (Nena) of Vasquez; and her son Joseph Ornelas. She is survived by: her husband Joe Richard Ornelas; her children, Cecelia Ornelas and Oscar Ornelas; her grandchildren, Dominic Ornelas, Joseph Ornelas Jr., Brittany Ornelas, Gabby Ornelas and Mathew Ornelas; and her siblings, Irma Nevarez, Elida Mundy (Rhonda Robinson), Linda Mundy (Jessica Moran), Kirk Mundy (Kristin Higginbothom), Jaime Torres (Rosa), Lalo Torres (Debra), Victor Torres (Yolanda) and Pepe Torres (Susan). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
