She was loved and cherished by many people including: her great-grandparent Rose Marcelle Gilbert; her parents, Laure Marcelle and Gaston Alexandre; her former husband Joseph C. Gilbert Jr.; her son William Michael Gilbert; her brother Robert; her aunt Julienne; her husband Sonny; her aunt Meme; her mother-in-law Kate; her children, Joan (John Markham), Joe (Ellen Gilbert III), John (Louann Gilbert), Kathy (Steve Scott) and Maryjo (Hal Yocum); her grandchildren, Ian Markham, Marcie Weills, Jenny Gilbert, Lynzee Gilbert, Joseph Gilbert IV, Damion Gilbert, Adam Gilbert, Trevor Gilbert, Michael Moritz, Holly Abbott, Heather Yocum, Sonny Yocum and Shawn Scott; and her cousins, Sylvia and Kenny Oliver. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
