It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cherie McCowan-Peterson of Ruidoso, New Mexico, who passed away on May 12, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Daniel Duncan McCowen; her grandparents, Glendale and Henry McCowen; her former life partner G. E. Peterson; her brother Bud Orr of Amarillo, TX; her children, Michael McCowen (Dollie) of Capitan, NM. and Patricia Rosales (Daniel); her stepdaughters, Sue Mathis, Janet Schlothauer (Gary), Katie Ann Hillelson and Ginger Peterson; her grandchildren, Donna Morse (Richard) of Littleton, CO, Ted Rosales (Geana) of Rio Rancho, NM, George Rosales (Chris) of Littleton, Katherine Scherrer (Brian) of Leesburg, VA., Jeremy Knight, Alethea Knight and Melissa White; and also Ruth.
