He was predeceased by: his parents, Isidro Alvarez and Emilia Alvarez; and his brother Ernesto. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his siblings, Isidro Alvarez, Jr. (Iola) and Rosemary Stutts; his children, Norma (Edward), Linda, Patricia (Ollis "Bubba"), Ernest Jimmy (Millie) and Deciderio "Jack" (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Andrea Marie Alvarez, Philip Levin, Matthew Gillis, Jeffery Flores, Patrick Flores, Christopher Flores, Edward James Flores, Deci Alvarez and Daniel Alvarez. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
