It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Romero (Santa Fe, New Mexico), born in Lamy, New Mexico, who passed away on July 24, 2020, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Anaya (Frank) and Teresita Baca; her husband Raymond R. Romero; her son David Romero; her grandson Michael Ortiz; and her siblings, Guadalupita Maes, Crucita Brito, Juanita La Rouge, Sophia Anaya, Lusa Ortiz, Mary Garcia, Cayetana Anaya, Johnny Anaya and Manuel Anaya.
She is survived by: her children, Frances Vanderploeg (California), Mary Grace Saiz and Edward Romero (Michigan); her grandsons, Ron Ortiz, Jerry Ortiz and Pat Saiz; and her great grandchild Anthony Ortiz. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
