With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Andalecio Cordova Jr. of Santa Rosa, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 4, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Andalecio Sr. and Vicentita Cordova (Barela); his siblings, Dora Baca (Manuel), Pete Cordova (Mable) and Pat Cordova; and his brother-in-law Miguel Salazar.
He is survived by: his children, Jose Andalecio "Andy" Cordova III of Albuquerque and Ashley Nicole Cordova Galvan (Angel "AJ") of Hereford, Texas; his grandchildren, Leo of Hereford, Texas, Ayden of Hereford, Texas and Landyn Madrid of Hereford, Texas; his siblings, Beatrice C. Salazar of Santa Rosa, Dorothy Romero (Adolfo) of Santa Rosa, James "Bozo" Cordova (Anna) of Santa Rosa, Frances Aguilar (Carlos) of Albuquerque, Juanita Tapia (Paul) of Clovis and Michael Cordova (Patricia Velasquez) of Santa Rosa; and his sister-in-law Nea Cordova of Clovis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (439 S 3rd St, Santa Rosa, NM 88435).
