She was predeceased by : her parents, Arminio Apodaca and Antonia Apodaca; her siblings, Dora Pineda, Oclires Gabbert, Margaret Esquibel, Anselmo Apodaca Sr. and Roger Apodaca; and her daughter Pauline DePari.
She is survived by : her husband Gilbert Mares; her brother Joe Apodaca of Springer; her children, Leonard (Denine Mares) of Kansas, Rose Briggs (Robert Valenzuela) of Springer and Mary Ann (Mike O'Neil) of Colorado Springs; and her grandchildren, Nicole Herrera, Jessica DePari, April Butler, James Butler, Joseph DePari, Renne O'Neil and Tierza Rose Torrez.
