He was predeceased by: his parents, Petra Diaz and Roberto Garcia; and his siblings, Francisco, Lucila and Manuel.

He is survived by: his spouse Carmen Carrera; and his children, Azucena Domina (Joe), Edith Garcia, Susana Landeros (Joaquin), Antonio Garcia (Judy), Francisco Garcia (Deborah) and Cuauhtemoc Garcia (Sandy).
