He was predeceased by : his parents, Ramdei Sahu and Prayag Sahun; his wife Prema Kashyap; his sisters, Gangajali Devi, Pavitri Devi, Yshoda Devi and Kawalpati Devi; and his children, Lalita Jadhav and Jitendra Kashyap.
He is survived by : his children, Sunita Parikh, Nandita Mehra, Vijay Kashyap, Nishith Parikh, Sanjiv Jadhav, Manish Mehra, Megha Kashyap and Neela Kashyap. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren.
