He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Barry Griebler; and his parents, Esther Zaner and Abraham Zaner. He is survived by: his close friend Ruth Maitless; his sister Sue Griebler; his nieces, Robin Towle and Cindy Griebler; his nephew Michael Griebler; his cousins, Bob Kirsch, Carl Zaner, Jay Berlin, Bill Zaner, Jack Zaner, Eugene Feder, Ann Finkelstein and Eileen Sanford; and his grandchildren, Eva Josephine Maitless, Daphne Alexandra Maitless and Joshua Samuel Maitless.
